Temp Junior Industrial Engineer at Schneider Electric Energy

The Junior Industrial Engineer is responsible to drive continuous improvements initiatives in the Distribution Centre and Factory. Assist methods manager in successfully deploying SPS (Schneider Performance System) and executing projects

Principal Accountabilities

Responsibilities:

• Conduct work analysis activities (work measurement and method study)
• Process analysis
• Process Mapping and Value stream mapping
• Floor layout optimization
• Ensuring a safe working environment through the adherence of the OHSACT.
• Setting up standards and implementing the required performance measures.
• Analyzing and improving key business processes, work measurement, operational design and layout
• Feasibility studies which include data gathering and presenting the data to management in reports and presentations.
• Application of Industrial Engineering principles, lean methods and techniques
• Increase operating efficiencies and achieve potential costs saving initiatives

Administration and Control

• Ensure daily activity and status reports are done timeously.
• Provide data and reports as and when required to management.
• Adhere to the Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Schneider Performance System (SPS)
• Assist in training of employees on new processes
• Ensure that 5’s principle is applied and adhered to by all
• Conduct root cause analysis against SOP and gaps in the process
• Respond to Internal enquiries and provide resolution.

Education

• Diploma in Industrial Engineering completed all S4 modules
• Must have completed S4 theory component of the qualification

Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
