    UX/UI Specialist

    Purpose of the Position:

    • The UX/UI Specialist will be responsible for providing creative solutions for all Self Service platforms. They will work in close conjunction with the graphic designers to ensure that all business requirements have been translated into solutions that put the customer at the fore, and are in line with the customer journey.

    Key Performance Objectives
    Tasks
    Usability Research and Reporting

    • Conduct user research and gather data in order to analyse user behaviours and preferences
    • Identify user behavioural patterns and present output, trends and recommendations from user feedback activities.
    • Responsible for prototyping and user testing before passing the design to the development team
    • Conduct A/B testing and optimisation planning
    • Be responsible for completing UX audits and strategic evaluations of current platforms, turning key learnings into actionable recommendations
    • Creating low-fi wireframes, content hierarchies and prototypes to convey key concepts and flows as well as high-fidelity wireframes that map key interactions, journeys and proposed functionality
    • Understanding user personas and journeys and be able to conceptually map them
    • Creating user stories that can be translated into key features and functionality
    • Writing cohesive and useful reports that detail all learnings and insights as well as create documentation for sharing across various stakeholder groups

    Qualifications Essential:

    • Diploma in business management, or any other industry related qualification

    Qualification Preferred:

    • Degree advantageous
    • Human Factors International Certificate

    Experience:
    Essential

    • 3- 5 years’ experience in a UX/UI design role

    Technical Competencies:

    • Competence in Axure, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator)
    • Have a basic understanding of HTML5, CSS and JavaScript
    • Be up to date with industry trends in UX design and technology
    • Have a depth of knowledge in mobile-first and responsive design
    • Have a solid grasp of user-centered design principles and testing methodologies
    • Experience with machine learning technologies would be advantageous
    • Experience in customer facing consulting
    • Experience in user analysis, information architecture, visual design and modern web interface design
