    Value & Access Manager

    ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    REPORTS TO VA SENIOR MANAGER

    (OR OTHER REPORTING DEPENDENT ON NEED IN COUNTRY)

    • Maximizes reimbursement and access for products based on Funder responsibility

    • Ensure net sales objectives through access and reimbursement

    • Manage price in line with price policy

    • Develop relationships with identified stakeholders

    • Drive introduction / access of new products based on the value

    • Ensure relevant information is shared with Commercial and other Stakeholders at Amgen

    • Develop alternative reimbursement models to enhance access and reimbursement

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    PLANNING

    • Map decision processes and identify key decision makers

    • Implement and monitor an action plan for key stakeholders in cooperation with Country Team

    • Develop the pricing strategy for all products

    • Organize regular interactions with Commercial and Medical field force and share information

    • Contribute to development of the marketing / commercial strategy (SBPs)

    • Ensure VA readiness for launch of new products and line extensions e.g Value Dossiers

    EXECUTION

    • Develop a stakeholder map, including an engagement plan

    • Build relationships with identified stakeholders

    • Support the negotiation of access and reimbursement with Funders based on value securing access

    • Ensure access and reimbursement of new products

    • Ensure a consistent value offer and implement follow up

    • Execute the action plan aligned with Country Team

    TRACKING

    • Follow-up of sales, access, price development

    • Follow-up and update stakeholder analysis ensuring developing understanding of customer needs

    • Provide monthly updates to various meetings as per reporting requirements (e.g Management meetings, Retro meetings, etc)

    • Maintain a Product Tracker

    AUTHORITY:

    • Development of Access and Reimbursement plans and implementation once approved, in different therapeutic areas

    • Relationship management with Funders

    • Key contact with Global Health Economics

    OUTPUTS:

    • Stakeholder mapping

    • Action plans per Funder

    • Reimbursement successes across therapeutic areas

    • Inclusion of products in Formularies without restrictions and with price conditions that reflect the value e.g ICON, SAOC, Discovery

    • High quality internal and external customer relationships

    • Promotion/image of Amgen in line with Amgen Values

    • Periodic reports

    • Member of X-Functional Product teams

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • University Degree in a Life Sciences/Health discipline (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology)

    • >5 years experience in a leading pharmaceutical/biotechnology company

    • >2 years experience in access experience, across public and private sectors

    • Fluency in oral and written English

    • Skill in using MS Excel

    • Experience in communicating complex Health Economics and Value messaging to non-experts

    • Solid project management skills for multiple tasks/projects/priorities and complex issues to propose innovative solutions

    • Strong X-functional membership within the organization and ability to drive and influence peers in complex (matrix) organization

    • Experience in local healthcare environment

    • Knowledge of local legislation and regulations

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

    • Documented experience in Amgen Therapeutic areas

    • Industry Association awareness and involvement

    COMPETENCIES:

    • Excellent presentation and communication skills

    • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills

    • Sensitivity to monitor and propose appropriate response to market changes and opportunities

    • Strong commercial and customer focus

    • Ability to work in a cross-functional team (e.g. MA, Commercial, Development, Regulatory, Pricing, etc) and build effective internal partnerships

    • Ability to work effectively in an international environment

    • Management skills, planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management and plan execution

    • Able to think long-term as well as short-term

    • Microsoft Office (e.g PowerPoint & Excel)
