    Warehouse Coordinator

    Job Function:

    • Imperial pple are looking for an energetic Warehouse and Distribution Coordinator to manage and lead the Domestic Warehouse and Distribution operations.


    JOB FUNCTION:

    • Drive a Safety first culture where the SP3 controllers and operators is well trained, where risks are known and where work is executed in a focused manner and in line with Safe work procedures.
    • Drive efficient Warehouse and Despatch operations to ensure on-time execution of order requirements for the customers serviced by SP3warehouse facility.
    • Maintain a high standard of work to ensure all activities including goods receipt, inventory management, and internal warehouse operations are carried out efficiently in line with the required standards.
    • Manage processes, systems and controls to support and drive effective Warehouse and Despatch operations.
    • Manage facilities, mobile plant and equipment on your shift to ensure high standards are maintained in line with PFG Requirements
    • Ensure SAP transactions on your shift are completed accurately and that the required system health and housekeeping requirements are maintained.
    • Support the WCM programme in place and assist with the Execute Continuous Improvement projects identified.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly feedback and reporting on your operational area’s KPIs
    • Professional daily interaction with PFG CSC / Imperial Resolve / Imperial IDC and PFG management to provide feedback on warehouse and load status.
    • Ensure execution of operational tasks on time and in a focused manner in line with specified KPI’s and controls (All loading and warehouse activities)
    • The coordination of the trailers to the bays and offloading of trailers with returns
    • Manage attendance of staff on shift to ensure a full complement is present on shift with the correct skills set to execute work productively. (This includes the management of the monthly shift roster)
    • Manage the allocation of skills on shift to cope with required line outputs and the mix of products to be loaded during the shift.
    • Ensure MHE issues are addressed and resolved timorously and with urgency
    • Manage safety on your shift operations proactively by being visible on the floor and addressing any non-conformity with your teams immediately.
    • Ensure all staff are trained and competent for tasks they have to perform
    • Ensure procedures are adhered to during operation on shift: WI to be reviewed and Task observations to be done.
    • Maintain good IR relations through regular meetings with teams, uphold the disciplinary code of conduct and address the issues at hand
    • Feedback to management on a daily basis on any issues experienced around Equipment downtime, Staffing, Safety or Operational performance.
    • Actively drive the reduction of glass breakages by taking pro-active corrective actions to correct processes and behavior.
    • Maintain the skills matrix for your shift and ensure all training are up to date.
    • Manage and motivate teams to perform through regular interaction
    • Ensure dispute resolution with float operation, lams and customer returns
    • Daily hand-over meeting to hand over shift and the running of a well-structured shift start up meeting
    • Management of inventory to ensure FIFO, inventory accuracy and minimise breakages
    • Management of the loading and despatch operations on your shift to ensure loads are executed to plan and loaded to the specified standards to prevent breakages on the road and at PFG customers
    • Approval of the load plans and signing-off all loads prior to despatch

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant Diploma in Logistics / Warehousing / Distribution
    • APICS: CPIM

    WORKING KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 8 years of Warehousing and Distribution operational experience
    • 3 years Warehouse and Distribution Management Experience leading a team of 15-20 people
    • Working knowledge of all relevant legislation: LRA, OSH Act and Road Traffic Act
    • Experience in a Dynamic high volume operating environment
    • Experience in IR management and maintaining good Labour relations
    • Warehouse and Transport operational experience
    • Experience in day to day performance management
    • Financial Budget Management Experience
    • Strong track record of managing Health & Safety and Risk
    • Ability to Manage and Motivate large teams
    • Experience in managing WCM and participation in CI Projects and Initiatives
    • User Experience of the applicable SAP PP, SD and WCM modules and the training and implementation in a Warehouse Environment
    • Technical knowledge and experience around the Maintenance of Equipment and Facilities
    • Technical knowledge and management of operations where various mobile plant, material handling and packaging equipment are used
    • Experience, to manage and maintain business processes and controls within a ISO 9000 accredited business environment
    • Experience in Productivity Measurement
    • Experienced in the training and development of a workforce to maintain skills in line with Safe Works Instructions and the necessary legislative requirements

    • Fully SAP ERP Competent: WMS, SD and PP
