    Wills Drafter

    Role Purpose

    • Utilise specialist legal expertise to draft wills as well as to provide support to financial advisors in respect to the drafting of wills.

    Responsibilities and work outputs

    • Draft Wills and check signed Wills within agreed turnaround times
    • Provide input to ensure that Will templates remain current and relevant
    • Adhere to organisational best practice and legislative requirements in the drafting of Wills
    • Contribute and implement processes to maximise efficiency and ensure the accuracy of documents
    • Identification and mitigation of risks, and the escalation thereof where necessary
    • Providing support in the drafting of wills to clients, Financial advisors and employees within area of responsibility.
    • Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed
    • Make recommendations to improve client experience within area of responsibility
    • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
    • Contribute to effective and consistent service delivery and support to all clients in line with the company's values.
    • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders
    • Positively influence and participate in change initiatives
    • Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledge

    Experience and Qualifications

    •   Relevant legal tertiary qualification, preferably B Proc or LLB
    •   4-6 years' experience in applying specialist knowledge of wills
    •   Experience in applying specialist knowledge of deceased estate administration will be advantageous
    •   Experience in applying specialist knowledge of estate structuring will be advantageous
