    Admin Controller

    Job description

    Key Performance Areas would include but are not limited to:

    • Implement initiatives of business plan
    • Plan, communicate and complete project plans both from the business plan and as per adhoc requirements.
    • Stock Control & Stocktake
    • Manage, coordinate, and verify all stock documented and ready to be issued to washing and sorting production lines are accurate and correct
    • Investigate Production Order Variances including all Stock related queries
    • Able to log a formal query with sending plant
    • Ensure that all information recorded manually is correct -
    • Adherence to timelines in resolving queries with variances
    • Check for completeness of manual data recorded on relevant documentation (Loading and Off-Loading breakdown schedule)
    • Verifying if accompany signatures accompanies STO’s
    • Ensure that queried deliveries had a third check done, reasons recorded and that all signatures are in place
    • Spot checks on RECIEVED and DISPATECHED loads
    • Control daily phase counts and provide reasons for variances
    • Prepare stocktake file
    • Prepare related documentation and complete transactions as per the STOCKTAKE CHECK LIST (ICC Ref 16.7)
    • Supervision Leadership
    • Manning levels in accordance with output requirements and budget.
    • Create casual requisitions for non-permanent staff inline with departmental operational requirements
    • Complete and authorise timesheets and training documents for both permanent and non-permanent employees as per procedure.
    • Promote teamwork, maintain sound labour relations and monitor direct reports performance within the area of responsibility
    • Attainment of direct reports’ development plans
    • Ensure competence improvement index
    • Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation.
    • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
    • Innovative thinking - ability to challenge the status quo.
    • Manage leave and overtime effectively including correct manpower planning
    • Perform stand-in duties when the need arises
    • Adhere to 5s principles
    • Lead and active participation in all workplace improvement including MDT activities
    • Ensure changes to policies and procedures are communicated to all staff timeously and where required arrange necessary training
    • Expected to perform Adhoc functions

    The successful candidate must preferably have the following qualification, experience and skills

    • Grade 12 and Diploma (or studying towards) Operations Management / Warehouse qualification
    • Three years working experience in a similar environment with numerical literacy
    • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
    • Detailed SAP knowledge
    • Experience of at least two years as a Team Leader
    • Knowledge of the supply chain within Distell
    • Knowledge and exposure to the stock take procedure
    • Knowledge and exposure to the Quality Management System (ISO & ICC)
    • Willing and prepared to work night shifts, Saturdays, Public Holidays and extended overtime hours
    • Knowledge of the Organisational Risk Processes – Emergency Planning, Motor Fleet and Fire Defense
    • Planning Skills – Monthly (Team) and Seasonal (Casual Labour)
    • Sound knowledge of Company Disciplinary Procedure and Performance Management Process
