    Sales Manager

    Job description

    In the role of Sales Manager, the successful candidate should have experience in and be responsible for:

    • Preparing Sales Budgets,
    • Creating and executing sales strategies,
    • Monitoring sales targets to ensure success is achieved – from both individuals and the team
    • This candidate should utilise their leadership skills to motivate and maximise employee productivity, and thereby grow existing and new business in the industry. There should be a clear understanding of customer engagement and a willingness to work with and encourage a team in their performance. This person should be a sales driver.
    • The successful candidate will report directly to the divisional executive, and will be a key member of the dynamic management team.

    sponsibilities include:

    • Accountability for the overall performance of the division and for the day-to-day operations
    • Strategically managing a sales team as well as sales volumes
    • Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities in the market.
    • Motivate teams to achieve target, and actively gain market share from competitors.
    • Manage strategic customer relationships, with emphasis on client retention
    • Managing staff performance, identify and grow key employees for promotion and attend to recruitment needs of the team.
    • Work effectively with the Production and Marketing teams to execute on the Strategy
    • Minimum requirements for the role:
    • Must have minimum 3 years management experience and at least 3years sales experience
    • Must be a team player with the ability to build relationships.
    • Must be a strategic thinker with the ability to build up the sales team and be a strong leader.
    • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
    • Sound ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
    • Must be willing and able to travel on a national basis.

    Qualifications required:

    A degree is required.
