    Regional Outlet Manager

    Job description

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Degree in management, business administration and/or marketing.
    • 5 years' experience in a Foodservice function that includes managing complex and/or significant customer relationships and management of teams experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.
    • Knowledge of the Foodservice market (including customers and competitors).
    • Valid Code EB drivers’ license.
    • Computer literacy (MS Office and SAP).

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategy Formulation:

    • Regional Strategy Formulation and Implementation;
    • Formulate short and medium term contact strategies to deliver sustainable, profitable growth from the Outlets in your Region.
    • Ensure alignment across Channels/ Marketing plans within your Region; through effective route planning (OTM) for all team members.
    • Drive the achievement of targeted sales growth for all your region’s outlets, adding new SKUs from current RCL portfolio and/or innovation.
    • Drive the regional training agenda at an Outlet, to improve outlet preparation quality, to increase repeat purchase volumes by consumers.
    • Participate in the Foodservice commercial planning process through the development of an annual/ quarterly distribution gains on key SKUs within the plan for your region.
    • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Manage Regional Trade Account Relationships;
    • Grow business by delivering the strike rate requirement by Region/ by team member that allows the addition of SKUs at an Outlet level. Then; intern deliver on National Account, Channel and Regional Plans.
    • Provide training support for New Store Openings and Trade Depot briefings via your Consultants.
    • Source data from all partners, via your Trade Counterparts to best feed RCL data insight needs.
    • Build and maintain a reputation as RCL FOODS’ leading Culinary Expert on your Regional Customers’ outlets processes and their operational needs.
    • Analyse sales statistics and market trends to determine business growth potential.
    • Lead the Brand Development Consultant Teams in your Region
    • Ensure Brand Development Consultant team deliver improved On-Shelf preparation Quality of the complete RCL portfolio by ensuring best practice is designed and followed for your Region and information provided is timeous and accurate.
    • Drive implementation of the Outlet Targeting Model for your Region.
    • You will spend a high proportion of your time in the field with team members providing them with one on one training and advice on their selling and demonstrating skills and supporting them in the outlet environment. This will be an on-going activity whereby you spend a number of days with each person per month, providing a high level of coaching: leading from the front line and driving increased strike rates.
    • Daily monitoring/ management of Business Development Consultant; KPI compliance on mandatory behavior.
    • Marketing Management:
    • New Product Development;
    • Input into Foodservice division decision making process around new product launches. Key area of input: Local Outlets considerations.
    • Marketing and Promotion;
    • Through your Team you will be highly involved in the activation of promotional activities at an outlet level in your region. The key is to ensure your team deliver against the briefs and are timeous with their placement and training.
    • Market and Customer Insight Maintenance;
    • Analyse and track market, customer and channel trends and in-market measures at the customer and channel level, such as distribution, share, price, and merchandising performance.
    • Pricing Guidelines Management;
    • Track RCL brand and competitive prices across customers.

    Supply Chain Distribution Management:

    Your Team is the last link in the supply chain; as they ensure (BOH) product gets to the Freezer and encourage floor managers to cook and/or bake the appropriate stocks to ensure front of house availability of RCL FOODS range at all times. Secondly; they are (FOH) responsible for the rotation of a training schedule that educates outlet operators as to the SOP and best practices to maintain Front of House availability through product and POS.

    Financial Management:

    • Participate in the formulation of growth targets for your Region.
    • Manage and control the customer expenditure budget.
