Purpose of Job /Role Intent:

To ensure effective management of all explosion protected apparatus and installations (Ex) and the hazardous area classification is always updated and relevant to our area of responsibility

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and expertise required (Must):

• Grade 12 with maths and Science, Qualified electrical artisan NQF 4
• Master Installation Electrician
• Wireman’s licence
• Electrical Trade test certificate

Specific experience required:

• Minimum Five years’ experience
• Experience in an industrial environment with explosion protected apparatus and installations
• Experience in the application of explosion protected apparatus and installations

• Sasol legal compliance
• Environmental compliance and safety performance in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and OSHAS 18001 requirements

• Planning, control and management of maintenance activities (Inspection 1)
• Ensure effective execution of Inspection 1 maintenance plans
