Job description

The Key Responsibilities Are

• Developing HSE policies and procedures, reviewing and revising to meet business needs of the Company
• Promoting Management review of HSE performance to achieve objectives of the business
• Providing advice across the business to improve HSE performance and cost effective implementation
• Guarantying the implementation of the HSE Company's standards and the guidelines in coordination of the HSE department
• Coordinating the internal and external environmental activity to guarantee that the environmental impact assessment process is implemented in compliance with South Africa regulations and international and Company's standards
• Providing environmental expertise and supervisioning for operation and logistic activities
• Coordinating and supervising the activities executed by contractors in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner, in compliance with company HSE policies and standards and local regulations
• Monitoring and reviewing the contractor environmental performance by inspecting activities and acquiring relevant data, in order to provide means to improve overall HSE standards
• Reporting on a daily basis to the Managing Director
• Making reports of environmental accidents and delivering them to the concerned departments
• Demonstrating a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment by following Eni SA Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures

Requirements

• At least 8 years’ relevant experience
• University degrees are required/preferred
• Microsoft office (Excel, word, Power Point, MS Project etc.)
• Fluent in English
