    Sales Coordinator - Corporate & Leisure

    Job description

    Job Summary

    Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the successful incumbent is expected to provide and maintain the quality and standards of the Westin Cape Town within a pressurized environment and in accordance with Marriott International Hotels Policies and Procedures and responsible to provide a support and administrative function to the Sales Department.

    Required Experience & Qualifications

    • An appropriate recognised qualification would be advantageous
    • Two to three years’ experience in a similar position in a 4/5*Hotel environment
    • Literacy in Microsoft packages

    Key Responsibilities

    • Effective communication, problem solving, decision making and conflict management skills
    • Excellent telephone skills and etiquette.
    • Strong planning and organizing skills to meet deadlines with regards to the operational requirements within the Sales Department
    • Perform an efficient administrative support function as and when required
    • Ability to work without supervision and within a team
    • Attention to detail pertaining to area of responsibility
    • Quality and customer service driven
    • Ability to use Initiative and be proactive and self-driven
    • Professional and pleasant disposition
    • To complete additional tasks as and where directed by Director of Sales
    • Provide Sales support to leaders and sellers and assist in the preparation of sales materials and RPF’s, reporting from both the PMS (Opera) and internal contract system.
    • Support the admin needs of the systematic sales process, including, but not limited to, Marriott internal RFP system (MarRFP), Hotelligence and issuing and loading of leisure contracts.
    • Telephonic cold calling to assist sales leaders.
    • Database Management
    • Responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring effective communication between departments
    • Able and confident to conduct full property site inspections
    • Complete all daily duties as set out in departmental duties as per operational requirements
