    Project Manager

    Job description

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Delivery
    • Maximise the contribution of the Project Management team to enable the effective scoping, management and delivery of client solutions. Including the creation of effective project management processes and governance.
    • Lead the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of the department.
    • Continuously improve project management toolkits and methodologies used within Professional Services delivery.
    • Manages the progress of key project deliverables and critical dependencies across multiple projects/project types
    • Facilitates the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements
    • Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas
    • Develop methods to monitor project or area progress
    • Provides corrective supervision if necessary
    • Acts decisively in critical situations or to circumvent a potential problem.
    • Uses basic knowledge of general financial and accounting principles to understand and communicate how decisions affect bottom line for project, for CEB, now Gartner.
    • Integrates own and others’ projects into the culture of the organization
    • Client development
    • Advocates on behalf of clients and represent clients' needs as appropriate to senior management

    People Development, including:

    • Provide expertise and consulting to associate project managers in the process of project management and in the softer skills of team dynamics, team building and group motivation
    • Assist to ensure that Associate Project and Project Managers are deployed and skilled to deliver a first class service
    • Core skills and content development

    Knowledge management, including:

    • Keeping abreast of market trends and evolving client needs and using this to deliver client solutions
    • Ensuring leverage and re-use of knowledge to fulfil client engagements
    • Maintaining own knowledge of new and existing solutions, services, products including all new delivery mechanisms along with proactive professional development based on priorities agreed in personal development plan

    Internal administration, including:

    • Accurate use of salesforce (for client management, opportunity management, forecasting and invoicing)
    • Create and maintain project plans on specialized systems like Innotas, MS Projects.

    Skills & Experience:

    Skills:

    • Understand the value of Talent Measurement in strategic human capital solutions
    • Networking and negotiation skills
    • Ability to manage multiple project processes
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be professional, diplomatic, personable and reliable
    • Ability to use internal influence and network to ensure that the full capabilities of CEB are brought to bear in serving our clients
    • Knowledge of Salesforce.com, Innotas and Sharepoint
    • PMP or similar project management accreditation would be advantageous

    Experience

    • 3 - 5 years experience managing various projects, preferably in a professional or client-service organisation.
    • Able to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.
    • Passion for client satisfaction.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
