Job Description:

Ensure that quality laboratory services adhere to all legislative and organizational safety, health, environmental, quality and ISO 17025 requirements
 
Responsibilities:

• Quality Control and Assurance in the laboratory
• Checking quality of results, approving and reporting of those results
• Liaising with clients
• Responsible for Safety and Health awareness in laboratory
• Application of ISO 17025 system
• Report an non-conformances
• Assist with training of personnel
• Stock taking, creating purchase orders
• Invoicing of clients

 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Control/ Health and Safety environment
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Analytical Chemistry
• Laboratory System Course and Internal Auditing based on ISO 17025
• Health and Safety courses
• Previous experience working to ISO standards
• Experience in the mining sector, particularly platinum and chrome
• Experience of water analysis and microlab advantageous
