BROAD AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Participate in both strategic projects at the EXCO level and lead operationally driven initiatives.
• Compile the annual budget.
• Lead the process of the review of the actual performance compared to budget
• Identify and address areas of risk, misuse and overspend.
• Prepare, present and analyse the company cash flow planning process with due regard to short, medium and long-term initiatives.
• Analyse cash flow on a forward looking basis and report via the Departmental Head.
• Assess areas of concern or potential risk.
• Analyse capital requirements in respect of the fleet, equipment and the financing thereof.
• Collect, analyse and interpret information on the financial viability of cost structures, business activities and changes in raw materials/manufacturing methods/labour and ancillary activities and report on this to the Departmental Head.
• Manage the rebates negotiation process for the Company within the sector.
• Develop and monitor Company financial policies and protocols.
• Provide the EXCO with analytical reports concerning segments of the economy, the economy as a whole as well as factors impacting on the price and profitability of products.

Qualifications:

• A relevant under-graduate degree in finance and/or related professional qualification.
• A post-graduate qualification will be an advantage.

Experience:

• 10 years broad-based financial management experience in the FMCG/retail/manufacturing sector/s.
• 3 years of which should have been in a similar senior management capacity.
• SYSPRO experience is advantageous.
