Key Competencies and Attributes
- LLB degree, LLM advantageous
- South African admitted attorney
- 5 - 7 year’s post qualification experience
- General / Litigation experience necessary
- Labour Law and Insolvency Law experience will be advantageous
- Articulates relevant legal principles
- Demonstrate sound legal technical ability, knowledge of South African Law including procedural law applicable to all types of South African Courts and Tribunals
- Analyses and interprets the law
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Work on complex legal principles/concepts without the use of precedents
- Ability to multi-task
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and opinions
- Draft and review legal documentation, with emphasis on pleadings and notices.
- Build, manage and maintain client relationships
- Manage and litigation matters from inception to conclusion
- Collaborate with other legal professionals on matters
- Business development
- Billing and invoicing of clients
