    Compliance, Controls & Ethics Specialist

    Job description

    • Engage with senior leaders in organisation to transfer ownership and engagement of CARM process
    • Maintain oversight of CARM process implementation, reporting and review for Diageo SA, escalate issues to senior management for action
    • Identify controls improvement opportunities and develop implementation proposals
    • Report on overall controls effectiveness and escalate risks to Enterprise GRC Specialist
    • Develop training and education to enhance organisational understanding and effectiveness of controls
    • Deliver communications, training and education on Controls, Compliance and Ethics
    • Coordinate functional champion network and checklist process
    • Conduct COBC induction and support key Compliance interventions e.g. Pathway of Pride
    • Ensure new joiners complete COBC on-line training within required time lines
    • Coordinate the completion of the Annual Certification of Compliance by target audience (L5+)

    Qualifications

    • Post Matric qualification
    • BCom Degree/Accounting/Internal Audit Qualification, CA (SA) and/or CIA
    • 6 year minimum experience in Risk based internal Auditing
    • “Big 4” experience preferable
    • Strong knowledge of internal controls
    • Interpersonal relationship building skills
    • PC literate but particularly MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook
    • Problem solving and analysis.
    • Track record of consistent delivery and service excellence.
    • Ability to constructively challenge current and proposed business practice.
    • Well-developed knowledge of business processes design.
    • Ability to prioritise when faced with conflicting demands.
    • Proven ability to manage projects and facilitate business change

    • Excellent presentation skills
