Job description

Job Purpose

Supervise production process by scheduling, distributing work orders, monitoring production performance, providing hands on and support to operators. Organize routines and reporting the output to the operations manager to ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Job Results

• Allocate and supervise production in order to conform to the daily production plan as per requirements.
• Coordinate with the Production planner to be able to give the product availability information to internal and external department’s customers.
• Cooperate with the maintenance department and ensure that the machines are maintained and properly repaired and ensure that operators comply to group engineering requirements.
• Coach subordinates to be able to perform with the department’s goals.
• Monitor important figures and records to ensure proper control of production and results to meet objectives and targets.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Production Management
• Knowledge of SA Industrial Relations
• Proven experience with coaching / team management
• Knowledge of 5S and lean tools
• Ability to communicate on all levels
• Good command of verbal and written English and Afrikaans languages
