    Digital Media Planner

    Job description

    Overview:

    Initiative Media is looking for a Digital Media Planner with experience in SEM, paid social and display advertising. This role is responsible for planning, executing, optimising and reporting on paid digital media campaigns.

    Responsiblities:

    • The digital planner is responsible for working with clients, agencies, sites/publishers and internal departments to plan, buy and traffic all digital media.
    • Utilize experience and expertise to oversee the execution of campaigns from beginning to end.
    • Participates in development and management of effective digital media plans and buys under the supervision of the strategist.
    • Ensures creative team is apprised of changes to the placements by producing the Creative Chaselist.
    • Creates and maintains media plans including changes, budgeting, and execution, reporting, optimization and invoice reconciliation (when needed).
    • Stays apprised of industry standards, new media programs/opportunities and can advise on new ways to reach targets.
    • Develops and fosters strong relationships with media partners.
    • Provides campaign effectiveness reports to the strategist, and recommends optimizations when appropriate to improve media performance.
    • Updates digital schedules using weekly spend tracking reports.
    • Excellent understanding of online media planning, implementation and optimizations.
    • Understands how digital fits in the overall client marketing/media.
    • Exceptional organizational and communication skills to work closely with and build relationships with creative and PR teams.

    Requirements:

    • Expertise with Google Analytics and Adwords: search, display, video
    • Expertise with paid social media: Facebook, Intstagram and Twitter
    • Google certification or Facebook Blueprint certfication is beneficial
    • Experience managing programmatic and retargeting campaigns 
    • Experience managing publishers, and client-facing communication
    • Excellent written and verbal communcation
    • A minimum of 1 year's experience
    • Self-motivated
    • Process driven
    • Deadline conscious
    • Attentitive to detail
    • Analytical
