    Organizational Development Specialist


    Job description

    Key Purpose

    Support the leadership team in implementing the Organisational Development (OD) strategy, thereby ensuring that the company culture is aligned to Discovery’s Purpose, Vision and Strategy.

    Act as a thought partner to key business stakeholders in developing and implementing OD solutions within their business units. Conducting OD, Culture and Transformation research and analysis for the purpose of proactively addressing potential challenges, support the design of the recommended solution, and implement a holistic approach to it.

    Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to

    • OD Practice and Projects
    • Provide adequate support for initiatives that fall under the organisational development and transformation area
    • Establish relevant project plans to ensure that communications, logistics and timelines are met for relevant initiatives
    • Attend and present relevant training necessary for the enhancement of the OD function
    • Consult with business to ensure streamlined change processes

    Research & Knowledge Generation

    Contribute to research on progressive people practices impacting the industry and disseminate these where appropriate within the business
    Conduct specific research assignments and diagnostics as per business needs

    Measurement & Analytics

    • Support measurement process for a variety of identified organisational scorecards and dashboards
    • Manage the Discovery Employee Insights Programme and create initial proposals for questionnaires and survey design
    • Utilise appropriate analytical skills to derive meaningful findings within data sourced from existing repositories or new data channels
    • Compile monthly, ad hoc and annual reports as required

    Education and Experience

    • Matric or equivalent
    • A postgraduate degree in Industrial Psychology or relevant psychology stream
    • Registration with the HPCSA as a Psychometrist (Advantageous)
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience as an Assessment or Organisational Design/Development specialist
    • 5 years +  experience as an Assessment or Organisational Design/Development specialist in the Financial Services Industry
