    Lead Academic Programmer

    Job description

    EDU Africa is growing and looking for a Lead Academic Programmer to join our team:

    We are a well established, Africa based, program facilitator that works with both individuals and faculty-led groups. EDU Africa facilitates authentic, academically rigorous programs across 14 countries in Southern and East Africa. 

    The appropriate person will coordinate and form part of our program development team spread across 4 regional offices. Reporting to the EDU Africa executive team, the coordinator will play a part in leading staff responsible for the development of new and appropriate programs that meet our experiential, academic and outcomes based standards. Included in the role is the identification of new subject area's warranting development and collaboration with 'on the ground' initiatives and academics in order to see this achieved. The person will also play a key role in nurturing leads and opportunities with overseas academics.

    Qualified candidates will possess:
    Bachelor's degree (Masters preferable) and 2+ years of experience in the education field (preferably international education) or another relevant field. Candidates need excellent written communication skills, a willingness to travel for 2-6 weeks each year, strong interpersonal skills and importantly, an understanding of curriculum or course development. Exposure to the US and/or European educational sector is strongly desired. This is a Cape Town based role but with a particularly strong emphasis on East Africa. A market competitive salary is offered.
