    Operational Leader:Sales

    Job description

    Key Role: 

    • To facilitate, encourage and manage the sales and marketing team (both internal and external)
    • to ensure the achievement of sales targets.
    • Assist the team to solve problems, find solutions and address with Leader (LoW2) when required.
    • Manage urgent daily issues with regard to the availability of resources and make best use of processes.
    • Identify and rectify process or resource problems.
    • Coach team members to improve all skill levels, provide feedback and share information across the team.
    • Ensure that standard procedures and processes are followed and escalate where necessary.
    • Discuss solutions to common problems and suggestions for improvement with Leader.
    • Provide feedback to Leader to improve Management relations.
    • Constantly monitor operational performance against performance criteria set by Leader.
    • Escalate important issues affecting team performance to Leader.

    Experience:

    • 3 - 5 years relevant Sales, Healthcare Industry and Management and Leadership experience
    • Qualifications
    • Sales or Marketing degree / diploma Core Tasks:   Accountabilities Internal Business Process Operational Implementation of Strategy:
    • Implement the business plan with the team and ensure the operational delivery to support the achievement of the strategy at the required standards 
    • Plan and implement operational changes within the area of responsibility to respond to important external influences        
    • Provide input into the business plan for the department and interpret this into an operational plan for the team      
    • Ensure business plan is implemented in a manner that supports operational and quality standards and meets defined departmental priorities.       -Communicate business plan and team operational plan in alignment with the broader Medscheme strategic direction     
    • Ensure implementation of plans in a way that maintains operational best practice and leads to continual delivery improvement Internal Business
    • Process Operating Model:
    • Implement the team operational requirements of the defined integrated operating model, the processes within and the meeting of delivery objectives Develop and implement team operational plans that will ensure the defined delivery objectives are met through supporting, and being supported by, other teams within and linked to the department / project     
    • Identify opportunities to improve the teams core operational internal processes and internal supply chain      
    • Resolve operational conflicts      
    • Set achievable yet challenging delivery targets/objectives and motivate the team to operate in a mutually supportive manner to ensure successful
    • delivery Customer Stakeholder Management:
    • Maintain relationships with organisation and industry stakeholders  
    • Ensure appropriate, active and informative relationships with customers and relevant stakeholders are successfully maintained Internal Business Process

    Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Full risk and compliance standards and requirements are operationally implemented and managed for area of responsibility  
    • Defined legal, statutory and regulatory compliance is appropriately implemented and maintained at the required standards for the team     Implemented operational risk and governance structures, measures and frameworks are monitored within the team and necessary action is taken to address issues, when necessary
    • Finance Financial Management:
    • Maximise value through effective Financial Management of area of responsibility
    • Manage expenses, costs and identify cost saving opportunities to support the department in achieving its financial goals and targets Learning and Growth

    Operational Leadership:

    • Lead the operational teams to sustainable and high levels of performance Manage the operational performance of the team as per HC frameworks and policies to ensure delivery to agreed standards and objectives.      Provide appropriate staff development, coaching and mentoring and retain skilled and engaged employees within the team and Medscheme      
    • Support transformation through valuing diversity within the team and department
