Investor Operations Manager at Prodigy Finance

What you will do in the role

Our Investor Operations team focuses on managing the back and middle office operations of our investment products for our client base. This spans the entire product lifecycle from issuance to repayment. Our investors come from all over the world and we partner with best in class organisations in the sector, ranging from community minded individual investors and family offices through to top tier and highly recognisable institutional investors. We pride ourselves on always improving and working with other teams to increase efficiency which will be a major component of the role.

• Your will report to the Head of Operations and work closely with the Head of Capital Markets, CFO and the Finance function. The role requires cross-functional collaboration and you will need to work alongside our Legal, Loan Originations, Supply & Demand and Business Development teams
• You will be responsible for managing the Investor Operations team insuring effective leadership – including motivation and managing performance development
• You will be fully accountable for the bond issue and planning (projecting returns, understanding cash flows, modelling out sensitivities, making sure the investment packages are specifically designed and ideal for each investor client. Once in place, ensure correct process (trade and settlement) is undertaken, coordinating between the issuing agent and the investor custodians
• You will need to exhibit technical financial expertise in this role, from design through to modelling and implementation of the various financial instruments.
• You will be responsible for the internal coupon calculation and payment process and oversee external coupon payments with paying agent and investor custodians
• Manage the monthly investor statements and process
• Responsible for managing the documentation and administration surrounding investment vehicles with our external legal counsel and the stock exchange
• Oversee general investor operations administration and reporting
• Identify and build meaningful external/outsourced partnerships; ensure that agreed service levels are maintained, that all targets are achieved and then improved
• Take ownership of reengineering products and processes on a game-changing scale
• Continue to drive best-practice using leading client service techniques and continuous functional development

Who we are looking for; track record must haves

• Degree qualified or equivalent, preferably a CFA
• Design, modelling and development of financial instruments
• Strong background as an analyst
• Extensive back office banking experience, preferably in fixed income, trade and settlements, or international markets
• Bond issuance experience highly desirable
• Experience in bringing financial products to market
• Experience of successfully managing multiple stakeholders and outsourced partners
• Strong relationship building skills and the ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams
• Highly presentable with excellent communication and interpersonal skills across a number of stakeholder groups. Improves capability and confidence in self and in others
• Track record in negotiating
• Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with financial models
• Demonstrable experience and success – hitting targets - in a fast paced, relentlessly high volume and high quality service environment
• Experience in managing a team with the ability to establish and maintain an efficient and productive working environment
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple high-priority projects
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Desire to work in a ‘start-up’ environment
• Resiliency and resourcefulness – able to creatively problem-solve

Experience that would be nice to have (but we’ll trade off if everything else fits)

• International experience – understanding international financial markets and different banking systems is highly desirable
• FinTech experience
• Start-up experience. Sometimes the earth moves beneath your feet at Prodigy Finance so you’ve got to be comfortable with ambiguity, able to wear lots of hats, and adapt easily as we continue to grow
