Procurement Manager at Caesar Fruit

Job description

With salary starting from R45,000 monthly. We require TWO procurement managers for the below:

• Citrus
• Pome Fruit
• Berries
• Grapes

As the procurement manager; you will be responsible for the sourcing of fresh citrus fruit, fresh pome fruit, berries and grapes, which is procured from growers in South Africa and then exported to our customers. Each procurement manager will be responsible for sourcing the fresh product of his specialisation.

This role will require you to build relationships with growers, as well as with the packhouses.

Experience:

• 3 - 5 years' procurement / sourcing experience within FMCG/Agriculture Sector, preferably of fresh produce
• Fluent in English and in Afrikaans
• Excellent interpersonal skill
• Good communication skills, being able to communicate with people from all walks of life.
• Sound knowledge of his specific fruit quality processes and systems
• Sound knowledge of his specific fruit pack house processes and systems
• Basic understanding of his specific fruit farming processes
• Must be willing to travel
