    Sales Manager - DOW AgroSciences

    Job description

    We are looking for a high performing Sales Manager – Crop Protection (m/f) to join the sales team based in Gauteng.

    Reporting to and working closely with the Country Manager, you will be required to provide high quality service in driving the sales for the northern region and managing key Crop Protection Dealership accounts.

    This involves taking responsibility for developing, communicating and executing business plans; key account plans; driving the sales plan for significant growth and assisting the team launch new products.

    Your teamwork, influencing, problem solving, attention to detail and conflict resolution skills will be at the highest level. Passionate about hunting down the next sale or deal, you will have the ability to think ahead strategically, as well as be ‘’hands on’’ to assist and mentor sales staff. There will be travel in the role.

    Successful Applicants Will Ideally Have

    • Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, i.e. B.Agric, B.Sc Agric, M Sc Agric is preferred
    • Fully bilingual
    • Extensive experience in the agricultural chemicals sector
    • Good knowledge base of crops and crop production practices in South Africa
    • Experience in an autonomous sales role, with minimum 5 years people management experience
    • Sound corporate business acumen
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship development skills
    • Familiarity with agricultural chemicals distribution networks and dealerships
    • Desire to progress your corporate career locally or globally
    • Execution of business, key account & marketing plans
    • Forecasting & planning
    • Communication & interaction with dealerships
    • Ability to travel extensively, both locally and abroad
