    Business Director

    Job description

    We are seeking a Business Director to work directly with national clients, ensuring the success of their marketing initiatives across the region. The position will be responsible for the coordination of commercial and contractual relationships between the client and suppliers, preparation of proposals, and driving the timely solution of commercial and contractual level issues.

    In addition, you will own the relationship with the regional client and be part of a global team responsible for initiating and delivering initiatives. The role requires a mix of business/commercial and digital marketing consulting experience and solid project management skills.

    The Business Director will have worked with large, listed clients, assisting them in defining solutions for their online marketing initiatives. The role requires a good technical understanding of marketing technology and is squarely focused on the delivery of services and solutions, constantly ensuring maximum client ROI.

    The position is based in Johannesburg.

    Reporting:

    The position will report to the Managing Director, MEA.

    Key Objectives:

    • Manage the commercial relationship with the client.
    • Develop a strong working relationships with the client at both Head Office and Regional level.
    • Revenue objective: grow the revenue of the client base to meet and exceed budgets.
    • Margin/Contribution objective: ensure efficient execution of all work delivered within the portfolio, by maximizing the utilisation of team members, and keeping operating costs in line with revenue.
    • Forecasting objective: ensuring that the monthly forecast for the portfolio is accurate and that revenue is predictable.

    Responsibilities:

    • Own the projects for the client, liaising with Head Office and the Regions, ensuring buy-in and delivery and management of the project process.
    • Participate in marketing strategy session with the client and Acceleration.
    • Build a long term, sustainable relationship with the client.
    • Constantly seek ways to add value to the client.
    • Interact with both Acceleration and client resources ensuring the smooth delivery of the agreed marketing initiatives.
    • Work closely with the client, managing expectations, providing project insight and ROI feedback
    • Provide online, strategic and business insights to clients and the rest of the company.
