    Principal Administrator: Marine Export (Seafreight/Oceanfreight-Controller)

    Purpose of Job /Role Intent:

    • The primary focus is to ensure timeous and accurate execution of approved orders for exports to customers and Sasol Regions globally.
    • 100% adherence to all legal requirements in shipping
    • Ensure full compliance with regards to the VAT Act, Exchange control Act and INCO terms employed
    • Complete all spent catalyst shipments via SAP
    • Maintain safe working environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
    • Must have knowledge of incoterms and customs and excise Act/ documents
    • Knowledge of SOX / SARS

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

    • Minimum Grade 12
    • Certificate in Exports
    • Knowledge of export processes and common practices
    • SHERQ export supply chain knowledge
    • 2-4 Years container, isotank and bulk export experience

    Key accountabilities:

    • Ability to coordinate the total sales order cycle for container and bulk exports to customers through liaison with Marketing, Customers, Sales Agents and service providers.
    • Report risks identified
    • Verify correct allocation to purchase groups
    • Executing exports in accordance with LC terms and conditions.
    • Compiling and forwarding accurate clearing and forward documents.
    • Filing of export documentation, ability to maintain an audit trail with regards to documents. Up-to date and accurate filing and storage of information
    • Delivering of final documents to customers within set time limits
    • Investigation of customer complaints and implementation of corrective actions
    • Effective liaison with service providers as well as local and international customers and banking institutions for LC payments
    • Comprehension of letters of creditors
    • Uninterrupted supply of critical goods and services for the Org Unit, over a period of time
    • Perform regular data-clean-up exercises and updates on SAP.
