McCann & Braham are very excited to be working with a dynamic multinational drilling company providing services to the exploration & mining sector in East Africa as they look to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager.

Based in the corporate office you will support the Head of Commercial Operations in developing and managing the entire finance function to ensure the objectives are aligned with the broader group strategy.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee the Financial Accountant and other Admin staff and ensure timely and accurate capturing of accounting transactions;
• In Conjunction with Senior Management responsible for compiling monthly, quarterly and annual Financial and Management Reports, for both internal and shareholder review;
• Interacting with Company Auditors and overseeing the annual financial audit;
• Maintaining a general base knowledge of in country tax laws;
• Assist in the preparation and finalization of monthly chargeable certificates and invoices to Clients;
• Preparation and control of Company Asset register and depreciation and capitalization journals;
• Overseeing payroll function.

This is a demanding role working closely with operational leaders, you will need to be a qualified accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong finance and commercial background ideally from the mining / natural resources sector.

Skills required:

• Postgraduate qualifications in accounting (CIMA, ACCA, CPA or CA).
• Excellent communication skills (written / verbal / interpersonal)
• Resources industry experience preferred but not essential
• Leadership experience in a similar role is essential.

This is expected to be an Expat Role – you would be located in the corporate office (Country Capital) with a competitive salary (Net of Tax), Housing, Car and Annual Flights provided.
