    Beauty Operations Manager

    Job description

    Main Purpose

    To provide Operational input to enable the Beauty strategy, through effective management of all trade, staffing, service and layouts in order to optimise selling opportunities to deliver sustainable profit growth

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyse and review previous seasons/period selling strategy and make recommendations for future selling/ trading strategies.
    • Provide accurate customer facing analysis per format (MCO) to inform the range build and grade per store format / cluster
    • Enable end to end new line/ Brand and initiative launches
    • Drive integration and partnership with key stakeholders to enable strategy delivery and execution
    • Translate seasonal macro allocation strategy per category per store and store format per season
    • Maximise macro space utilisation through equipment usage, drive densification and product specific planograms and assortments
    • Interpret productivity by Brand seasonally and annually
    • Enable execution of seasonal/ trading selling strategies through model stores and road shows, trade workshops and training of divisional launch teams.
    • Conduct store visits to review store formats, catalogues, layouts and effective launch of initiatives
    • Deliver selling strategy through clear, concise and simple communication tools: seasonal and period trading notes, trade plans, monthly in- store selling notes, weekly communication, events, new initiative workshops and training
    • Execute a 52 week calendar for eventing and animation
    • Regular store visits and weekly analysis of performance to evaluate the effectiveness of current selling strategy to optimise in- season trade
    • Budgeting and Expense Management
    • Management of all Staffing, Salaries and Commissions related to store structures
    • Lead an inspired team to support the execution of the Beauty Strategy
    • Build relationship with suppliers regarding staffing, equipment and execution of promotions
    • Setting, monitoring and management of Financial year targets in partnership with planning

    Key Competencies

    • Relevant business degree and diploma required
    • 5 – 8 years Stores and industry experience
    • Extensive knowledge and experience in the Beauty Retail industry
    • Goal and results driven
    • Ability to plan and organise effectively
    • Ability to think and act commercially
    • Able to formulate strategies and implement shorter-term tactical plans that are cost-effective, efficient and realistic
    • Able to analyse and interpret data to deliver strategies
    • Able to conceptualise ideas and concepts

    • Able to build strong networks and relationships across the organisation at all levels
