PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Maximize the Logistical efficiency and effectiveness of the PAXI counter service by ensuring the parcel delivery, collection and return service capabilities are successfully implemented within scope, time and cost parameters and to effectively manage key stakeholder relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• On & Off-site management of Transport courier service providers & suppliers at 3rd Party warehouse sites;
• Ongoing operational management of courier companies including transport rates, SLA’s, KPI’s, contracts and agreements;
• Operational point of contact and resolution of transport and related queries;
• Manage and build constructive relationships with 3rd Party stakeholders;
• Secure PAXI network sustainability through in-transit visibility and risk mitigation processes;
• Plan, prioritise and optimise stock flow through the supply chain;
• Identify and evaluate new or variation of current concepts to business;
• Produce process documentation for required Logistical system development; 
• Budgeting and communication of targets and results;
• Understanding of legislative and technological changes which may impact transport sector;
• Provide strategic inputs to assist with the department’s strategy.

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 with Commercial Tertiary qualification, preferably in Logistics & Supply Chain;
• At least 3-5 years related work experience, preferably in Courier / Logistics / Supply Chain;
• Advantageous Ecommerce, Warehousing/DC and Freight Forwarding/customs clearing experience;
• Computer Literate (MS Office);
• Competencies required:  Exceptional communication and organization skills. Self-motivated, works independently and possesses drive, strong problem analysis and time management skills. Systematic, decisive, service orientation and business acumen;
• Excellent negotiation skills;
• Project management skills;
• Willingness to travel.
