    Marketing Director

    Job description

    We are looking for a Marketing Manager who will primarily focus on marketing Umthunzi Hotel & Conference and facilitate a portion of the marketing for Foce Investments. This is a challenging, fun and demanding position for a person who is dynamic, goal driven, loves to work in a team and within a medium sized growing company.

    You will work very closely with the Umthunzi Hotel GM, marketing assistant and the digital team as well as Foce Investment’s director and team. You will need the ability to understand the diverse target markets and be able to adapt the marketing strategy to grow specific market segments.

    You will need to analyze, plan, organize, set goals and deadlines and fully coordinate both long and short term marketing strategies cohesively, across both digital and print media. As a Marketing Manager, you will work to create scalable processes that ensure best practices in lead generation and database management. You will also conduct complex data analyses that will be used to inform strategic decisions by stakeholders from across the company. You will be working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at once.

    Responsibilities:

    • Connect and engage with local stakeholders around Umthunzi Hotel & Conference and also for Foce Investments.
    • Manage aspects of key marketing systems used to generate, distribute, and report on leads
    • Define key marketing KPI’s and implement a strategy achieve the desired results
    • Establish and maintain measurable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management in both the digital and below the line platforms.
    • Create and maintain metrics reports on marketing and sales activities, effectiveness, and business impact.
    • Analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization on all platforms
    • Monitor and maintain data quality within the marketing database as well as implementing a CRM with measurable growth and impact on existing customers.
    • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance.

    Requirements:

    • BA/BS or equivalent working experience in the hospitality industry.
    • Strong analytical skills (including mastery of Microsoft Excel) and experience with reporting and data analysis.
    • A good working understanding of inbound marketing methods, traditional outbound methods, website management, SEO, and Google Analytics.
    • Proficiency in social media management and how to best use them to achieve marketing goals.
    • Good working knowledge of print media and the various print platforms available for the hotel industry.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
    • Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes.

    This position is based in Midrand, Johannesburg. You will be required to work from the Foce Investments Offices and occasionally travel down to the hotel.
