Software Development Engineer at Peralex Electronics

Job description

We are looking for people to join our team at Peralex, developing world-class radio spectrum monitoring and radio astronomy equipment.

The work involves a combination of:

• C++ and/or Java programming for the signal processing products we develop.
• Signal processing algorithm design and enhancement.
• Interfacing between our hardware and software.

Requirements

Please ensure that you fulfil all of the following requirements before applying:

• A BSc(Eng)/BEng/BIng degree in Electrical or Electrical and Computer Engineering. Mechatronics degrees from some universities will also be considered. Applicants with further postgraduate degrees are welcome.
• Either South African citizenship/permanent residence, or a degree from a South African university and a work permit.
• Three or more years of post-graduate working experience in the field (or a MSc/PhD in the above fields and 2 or more years of relevant experience).
• An interest in signal processing.
• Some experience in C++ (and ideally Java programming).

For this position no BTech degrees will be accepted. Applicants who have neither South African citizenship/permanent residence nor a South African BSc(Eng)/BEng/BIng degree will not be accepted.
