    Sales Director

    Job description

    We are looking for an experienced, charismatic individual to lead the realization of our South African sales strategy. Based in Cape Town this person will be responsible for delivering Visual Fusion’s sales agenda across the country and those SA clients wanting to do business in Africa. He or she will be working with existing and new clients to develop our business, supported by the creative and operations teams based in South Africa.

    The individual will need to be self-starting, self-motivated and driven, comfortable in working within or remotely from Head Office but deeply accountable to their performance goals as well as their teams’ and passionate about succeeding. This individual will be expected to generate sales individually, source new business as well as work through his or her team.

    Likewise, he or she will need to have strong organizational and project management skills, able to manage multiple projects and ensure process adherence is compliant.

    This role sits on the Senior Leadership team of Visual Fusion. Accordingly, the individual selected will be expected to play an organizational leadership role and shape the direction and future of the business as a business leader and departmental head.

    We believe in developing our staff and are passionate about what we do. We are expanding rapidly and are looking for a highly motivated individual with a proven skill set in the field of POS and Display, who relishes working with a charismatic and dynamic team.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Building sales strategy and deliver the plan.
    • Lead your team to deliver exceptional results.
    • Develop world class collaborative customer partnerships
    • Identify new opportunities through your knowledge and the strength of your relationships
    • Create and develop 'world class' customer account plans
    • Manage all clients requirements - from initial commercial strategy to design through to execution
    • Constantly deliver on and exceed set targets
    • Drive the highest standards of execution for all customers
    • Lead and manage a growing sales team, centred in both Cape Town and Johannesburg, work brilliantly with our internal teams to create cross functional effectiveness, orchestrating business development and project management through a team of functional experts across the value chain.
    • Specific skill set requirements:
    • At least Degree educated (preferably Honours or Masters)
    • Minimum five years' POS and display sales and customer management
    • A great communicator, face to face, on the phone and in writing
    • Outstanding key account management and business development skills
    • Track record of success in highly demanding organizations
    • Able to negotiate with clients at all levels
    • A firm understanding of the South African Retail industry
    • Phenomenal presentation skills – 5+ years in leading sales teams and building as well as delivering sales strategies.
    • A real detail orientated individual (demonstrating grit) – Outstanding commercial acumen
