    National Cosmetics Training Manager

    Job description

    • Implementation of effective training strategies which enhance the Brand’s ability to deliver high quality make up product knowledge and excellent customer service.
    • Full on-boarding of all new Brand Consultants.
    • Develop all training material required to train consultants
    • Ensure the training is aligned with the brand strategy for South Africa.

    This includes executing all levels of training:

    • training materials, selling techniques and specific events, promotions and workshops for BC’s and retailers 
    • Ensure the training and coaching on counter enables and supports the brand to achieve the monthly and annual set budget.
    • Work in collaboration with Sales and Marketing to drive and execute the overall make-up strategy.
    • Ensure educating and coaching in make-up in-store to increase overall retail sales and customer growth on counter.
    • Develop Quarterly Make-Up looks for seasonal changes and new product launches as align to brand Strategies.
    • Assist in the organisation, planning and execution of customer events and workshops and monitor the effectiveness on an on-going basis to drive sales.
    • Monitor and management of Sales environment optimisation, including stock pressure, timely replenishment and product availability. Manage anecdotal counter feedback - to be consolidated and presented monthly to Brand and CAVI.
    • Monthly reporting on Counter and Brand consultant performance.
    • Show the ability to mentor and train on counter and in a training environment, by demonstrating and transferring product and sales skills.
    • Motivate and inspire staff and retailers through leading by example.
    • Foster a respectful and productive work environment which creates a passion for the Brand and CAVI.
    • Can clearly and confidently communicate with customers in a friendly helpful manner.
    • Together with the L&D Executive and CAVI Training Manager, conduct formal assessments of BC staff’s make-up performance and assist in developing action plans and goals.
    • Facilitate training with the ability to convey information simply and clearly, in a way that helps people deliver higher results. 
    • Ensure that training and coaching are supported by the correct administration, such as lesson plans, registers and development plans. Ability to produce concise, accessible written material in the form of presentations and feedback reports.
    • Monthly monitoring of by make-up performance by door in order to identify growth opportunities and manage challenges. • With the CTM, monitor competitor activity and plan the appropriate response by door.
    • This includes knowing the make-up rankings against competitor brands in store.
    • Work closely with RDM on stock issues, staff needs, retail space and promotional needs required for specific make-up event activities. Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all levels of retailer store management and comply with all store policies. Ensure that all make-up events and workshops are elegantly executed with quantitative feedback to management.
    • Actively focus on driving in store activations and events to manage seasonal products, new launch lines, promotional stocks and slow moving lines.
    • Show initiative in analysing and improving business processes.
    • It is the key responsibility of the regional make-up artist and trainer to represent the brand through developing engaging customer experiences and selling our products, with the aim to meet the required monthly and annual targets set by the company.
    • Keep up to date with all required product training and launch training to better sales.
    • Convert ‘sampling customers’ to brand users. 
    • A Team player with a self-motivated attitude that delivers results.
    • Provide management with inputs on business performance in terms of customers, competitor activities and product acceptance.
    • Ability to develop positive working relationships with all BC’s.
    • Ability to ensure deadlines are prioritized and met.
    • Ensure compliance to all policies, procedures & values in the business.
    • Display a proactive and persistent approach in all aspects of your role.
      Ability to travel extensively regionally and nationally whilst always staying a true brand ambassador.
