Job description

A professional client facing position, the Developer/Configurator is responsible for a range of implementation activities designed to achieve a high level of client service and satisfaction. This position requires a high level of independent judgment and decision-making throughout the implementation process. The position is primarily responsible for understanding, configuring, customising and implementing the client solution. The role also includes assisting users on system setup, system administration, and all aspects of the Sybrin Solution. The position will also be required to provide post live support to the client during a transition to traditional support period.

Responsibilities:

• Working with relevant client and in-house stakeholders to understand, interpret and work with clients business requirements
• Responsible for input into Functional Specifications
• Working with team lead, project teams to ensure that any development/configuration meets the business need
• Assisting in developing test data in line with business scenarios
• In conjunction with BA ensure thorough system and integration testing end to end on the solution
• Building/Configuration/Parameterization/SQL queries/Report designs, etc. as per Functional Specification(Training on the software will be provided)
• Implementation/Bug Fixing and further customization solution
• Work with the product support and development teams to suggest solutions or workarounds for recurring issues
• Problem-solving and detailed root cause analysis.

Requirements:

• Matric/Standard 10/NQF 4 with Math and Science
• BSc Computer Science/Informatics Degree or equivalent
• IT Support/Development experience
• IT Literate
• Previous experience in configuring Enterprise Software
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to take definitive action on relative priorities for solution requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, initiative
• Team player who is willing to deliver on organisation wide objectives
• Trust and respect for team members ï‚· Understanding user and customer needs
• Good communicator and Self-organising
