    Talent Acquisition Specialist

    Job description

    We are looking for a talented Talent Acquisition Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the full recruitment lifecycle from the sourcing and screening of talent, to the final stages of selection. The role encompasses recruitment and staffing for internal and external hires across all geographies, and all employment segments, ensuring the delivery of qualified talent.

    What you will do:

    • Candidate management:
      • Use creative techniques to source candidates locally and globally through social media, networking and other effective methods.
      • Develop and execute on sourcing strategies aimed at generating candidate flow to meet overall recruiting goals and build candidate pipeline.
      • Screen candidates and employee referrals to gauge skills and interest levels of candidates.
      • Influence and build relationships with candidates not yet engaged with VentureWeb.
      • Coach candidates in their understanding of the VentureWeb business and model.
      • Seek to build a positive candidate experience for selected candidates as well as for candidates not selected.
      • Work to maintain contact with key candidates in either the pre or post placement phase.
      • Capture all candidate details in the ATS.
      • Stake holder managemenet (internal and external)
      • Build relationships with new and existing clients in all geographies, using contact points as an opportunity to sell the services of the Staffing and Recruitment service line.
      • Engage with stakeholders to understand resourcing plans, define role requirements and identify targeted talent pools, interview and selection process.
      • Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the process, giving advice and updates of challenges or opportunities.
      • Educate stakeholders on effective and legally compliant interviewing techniques where necessary.
    • Recruitment lifecyle:
    • Source and screen candidate resumes to identify candidates for further assessment.
    • Conduct in-depth interviews ensuring candidates are qualified against skills, knowledge, experience, education, competencies, culture, values and remuneration of the role profile.
    • Complete relevant documentation for proposing candidates to stakeholders.
    • Co-ordinate further interviews and candidate assessments as required.
    • Prepare candidates for interviews with stakeholder insights and other relevant information.
    • Work to maintain the flow of the recruitment cycle, ensuring all parties are kept updated of progress and status at each stage.
    • Communicate outcomes of interviews and assessments with candidates, regretting unsuccessful candidates.
    • Work with stakeholders to finalise offer of employment, and/or extension of such.
    • Maintain communication with selected candidates throughout the final stages of selection and on boarding.
    • Update the ATS at each stage of the process with candidate, stakeholder and role specific data and notes.
    • Work in line with internal processes and procedures as defined in the Staffing Manifesto.
    • Work to timeframes and guidelines as provided in client MSA’s.

      • Ensure that VentureWeb’s image is articulated when recruiting internally and externally, and across client and candidate segments and depict what it is truly like to work for and with VentureWeb.
    • Continuous learning:
      • Seek out new recruiting trends and techniques and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
      • Develop a strong understanding of core skills in the marketing, communications and digital agency space.
      • Research new trends and software within these niche positions.
      • Support the global team in the continual review of and implementation of improvements to the recruitment process to ensure optimal efficiency.

    The qualifications you will need:

    Education required to perform this role:

    • University degree in relevant discipline
    • Basic understanding of marketing and/or communication roles.
    • Experience required to perform this role.
    • Agency experience of 3 years recruiting both permanent and contracting roles, and preferably with global reach managing both client and candidate relationships.
    • Experience using various sourcing tools and platforms for advertising of roles, searching for candidates, networking (e.g. LinkedIn).
    • Experience developing project plans and managing project execution within a recruitment environment.

    Technical knowledge:

    • Technical knowledge needed to perform this role.
    • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems.
    • Effective use of candidate search engines and sites.
    • Interview techniques.
    • Best practice trends in interviewing as it relates to data privacy and employment legislation.
