    Job description

At MMG Kinsevere, we believe it is possible to achieve a workplace of zero injuries. We are developing a learning organisation that openly reports significant safety events, undertakes high quality analysis and implements sustainable corrective actions underpinned by the philosophy that our safety practices will be simple, useful and effective.

We are an equal opportunity employer who values and respects diversity and interculturality without discrimination on the basis of gender, race, religion or different capacities.

As a member of the Site Leadership Team, your role as Manager Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SSHE) is to provide functional expertise on all SSHE-related issues and oversee the development and delivery of work plans that support Kinsevere’s Safety, Volume and Cost objectives. As the regional representative to MMG’s Global SSHE Network, you’ll also provide advice on MMG-wide standards and processes.

More Broadly, Your Key Accountabilities Will Include

    • One of your initial priorities at Kinsevere will be to oversee the continued delivery and embedding of our Creating Safe Work training program which aims to build the knowledge, skills and capabilities our workers need to effectively comply with MMG’s Safety Standards.
    • Developing and maintaining management plans to manage SSHE-related material risks and ensuring compliance with SSHE-related licenses, regulations and standards.
    • Managing health, environment and community delivery activities including SSHE data collection, validation and recording.
    • Ensuring Trigger Action Response Plans (TARPs) are in place for escalation of critical SSHE and operational issues.
    • Managing the effective development of Congolese staff in the SSHE Department with an aim to localise current expatriate roles according to Kinsevere’s Local Employment Management Plan.
