    Cleaning Supervisor

    Job description

    Housekeepers Dream!

    Our client has recently established an exciting division within their Residential portfolio. Their business plan for starters has been to look at dilapidated buildings in CBD areas and to redevelop them into beautiful living spaces. This has allowed them to have a portfolio spread across Gauteng. They have recently focussed on opening safe and affordable student accommodation by working hand-in-hand with the various tertiary institutions. To offer their tenants, residents and parents of students, the ease of mind for security and well-maintained premises, they have adopted an in-house property management and maintenance team. To join this team in their Pretoria building they require a Housekeeping Executive to oversee the cleaning of their common areas. This will not only have you involved in cleaning the apartments but also the outside spaces that include laundry rooms, lounges, TV rooms, study rooms and the canteen hall area. You will be responsible to compile a monthly list of required cleaning materials, as well as assist in the procurement of supplies according to the company procedures and budgets. Managing staff will be of utmost importance. This will have you compiling a comprehensive work schedule to ensure that apartments and other spaces are kept clean during weekdays and weekends. To ensure that all processes are monitored appropriately, you will have to enforce compliance with cleaning checklists, elicit regular feedback from cleaners and students and amend the checklists when needed. If an incident of unreasonable demands, intimidation or rudeness is to take place, you will be required to report it as well as advise on disciplinary action to be taken. Working in a team will have you assisting the Maintenance Manager in submitting reports on any maintenance issues. Training of your staff will also be part of your skill set, and this will have you attending regular sessions on anything from cleaning techniques, to customer relations.
