    Senior Associate

    About the role

    To fulfil an internal audit role within our PwC SDC. This role is a non-client facing role, focussing on the testing of our PwC SDC with its own standards and policies.

    Essential skills and experience

    2-3 years’ relevant experience in internal audit

    Required qualifications

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant National Diploma – Internal Auditing
    • B Tech Internal Audit would be advantageous

    Desirable skills or attributes

    • In depth knowledge regarding Internal Auditing;
    • Ability to work alone and in a team;
    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity;
    • Broad thinker, capable of quickly interpreting information and presenting arguments in a clear and reasoned way;
    • Able to work under pressure;
    • Computer literacy;
    • Analytical thinking, paying attention to detail;
    • Good communication skills – verbal and written;
    • Deadline driven and
    • Accountable for own decisions and actions whilst respectful of the professional responsibilities of others.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop a deep understanding of the  business policies, processes, risks and Controls of SDC Africa;
    • Provide support to the Internal Audit Manager in the performance of the Internal Audit Work programme;
    • Performing complex Test of Controls;
    • Prepare working papers adequately documenting work performed;
    • Drafting monthly analysis reports highlighting issues and problems noted during testing of controls that will be presented to management;
    • Assist in preparation of meetings/presentations by the department;
    • Ensure accuracy of all work /documents and reports;
    • Ensure that prioritized work is completed within the required timeline and
    • Responsible for coaching junior staff members.
