Head - Finance at City of Cape Town

Requirements

•  B-Tech or first degree in Finance/Accounting
•  Computer Literacy – SAP and Office Applications
•  8 years’ experience in Financial Management

Key Performance Areas

•  Identifies and defines the short to medium term objectives and priorities of the section encapsulating procurement, expenditure and remuneration control functions
•  Directs the implementation of specific procedures, systems and controls associated with key functional areas embodied in the Section’s structure
•  Manages applications and sequences associated with recording, authorization and execution of expenditure transactions
•  Manages and controls specific accounting procedures associated with asset acquisition and disposal
•  Provides support to contract managers
•  Directs and controls Key Performance Indicators and outcomes of personnel within the Finance section
•  Managing training and skills development and the transfer of skill and knowledge
