CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILTY: PROJECTS MANAGER
Boxer Superstores, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pick and Pay, is a rapidly growing Supermarket discount chain operating in all provinces throughout South Africa. Owing to our growth we are looking for a CSR & Projects Manager to manage, coordinate and administer the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) function within the company. Reporting directly to the Group Executive for Stakeholder Engagement, based at our head office in Westville, Durban.

Main Job Functions
Manage all CSR projects from concept to delivery
Keep detailed administration records of all CSR related projects and donations
Prepare and present periodic reports of all CSR projects and interventions to the Group Executive
Support the Group Executive with stakeholder engagement initiatives and strategic partners
Qualifications and experience
Current or very recent experience in a management or coordination CSR role, ideally in a large or national organisation
A business related university degree
Extensive project management experience and a qualification in project management would be advantageous
Minimum of three years’ experience as the candidate has to be able to hit the ground running, ideally in a retail or FMCG environment
Excel is non-negotiable
Exceptional communication skills as the role requires constant communication and constant feedback across a number or role players
Ability to handle many projects at the same time – requires attention to detail and superb organisational skill
Ability to communicate in an African language would be most beneficial
Ability to work flexible hours as the nature of the tasks may occur outside traditional work hours
