About the job:

• The Medical Nurses Support position supports Healthcare Professionals, Clients and Patients with the relevant educational advice relating to products and services across our portfolio.

Minimum requirements:

• Up to date, valid SANC Registration - receipt to be provided on application.
• Comply with the SANC code for Registered nurses and all applicable healthcare legislation.
• Adhere to the SANC professional Code of Conduct and Next Biosciences Code of Conduct.
• Basic life support certification by an accredited service provider.
• Previous nursing experience (at least 2 years)- Registered Nurse (RN) 4-year diploma with midwifery, community, general and psychiatry or an Enrolled Nurse with gynae/obstetrics experience and a Phlebotomy qualification.
• Competent in the demonstration and assessment of relevant clinical procedures.
• Compulsory to have own, reliable vehicle.

Key Accountabilities:

• Support Healthcare Professionals, Clients and Patients with the relevant educational advice relating to products and services across our portfolio.
• Responsible and competent in NIPT blood draws.
• Conduct POC in-service training at hospital theatres.
• Ensure stock of POC kits at hospital theatres and relevant HCP rooms.
• Follow up on POC kit collections from theatres and liaise with Client Services team.
• Ensure relevant NIPT kits are available at relevant HCP’s rooms and at any other sites in liaison with the Client Services team.
• Conduct Placenta collections at Hospital theatres.
• Assist with Netcells kit handovers to Clients when required.
• Assist with Netcells kit collection and co-ordination at hospital theatres when required.
• Train HCP’s (Nurses and Doctors) on Netcells collection protocols.
• Present at Ante-Natal classes to educate expectant parents on Next Biosciences products and services.
• Engage in ward rounds with permission from Unit Managers to educate mothers on Newborn Screening at maternity wards.
• Maintain nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
• Liaise closely with Business Managers to ensure marketing educational material is placed at Healthcare Professionals practices at hospitals.
• Ensure relevant communication and relationships with Commercial Consultants and Medical Science Liaison team to ensure customer service excellence.
• Represent Next Biosciences at educational events such as Hospital Open days and Baby Shows to educate Clients.
• Adhere to any reporting requirements and deadlines required by the Nursing Services Manager.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act) & company procedures, rules and regulations.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training, educational workshops and participating in professional societies as required by the company.
• Comply with the POPI ACT with regards to all information.
• Uphold Next Biosciences brand and reputation.
• Report all Incidents as per company SOPs.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks, ensuring patient safety.
