Teach the Nation Leadership Development Scholarship (FLN Project)
2x 45-minute virtual coaching sessions per month suitable according to your schedule
1x Professional Peer Learning Community (PPLC) contact session per term (1x Saturday)
Support visits and classroom observations for the development of teaching strategies
Sharing of learner results and progress
Complete various surveys, including Fellows Surveys, Student Surveys, Principal Surveys, etc.
Develop/Strengthen Community Impact Projects
Attend our Summer Institute at the beginning of 2025, during school holidays (specific dates to be communicated)
Please note this program does not require any examinations but does require commitment, participation, and completion of all assignments and the skills development pathways
You will obtain a Leadership Certificate at the end of the 2-year program
After the 2 year period, you will then become a part of our Alumni Program, working with our vast network of teacher leaders from around the world
Requirements
You are currently a permanently employed educator working in an under-resourced school (Foundation Phase)
You are between the ages of 22 - 35 years
You have between 0 and 5 years of Teaching Experience, teaching grades 1-3
You have a Bachelor's Degree in Education
You are teaching one or more of the following subjects:
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)
IT Skills, Coding and Robotics
Business and Accounting
You are based in South Africa, in the Western Cape and teach in a Rural, Township, or Urban Primary School and/or Special Needs School
You are a Registered South African citizen
You are SACE Registered or in the process of registering
You have a passion for influencing school culture, leadership and impacting communities positively
You have Funda Wande, Green Shoots and Bala Wande training
