    Hunter Equipment Service_Equipment Support Officer (Driver/Cleaner)

    Job description

    To provide timely equipment cleaning, equipment delivery (including set up of equipment items such as electric beds and portable electric hoists) and retrieval services, and to provide a high level of customer service to clients (including patients, clinicians and other stakeholders) of the Hunter Equipment Service, team members and Service Manager of HES.

    • Demonstrated ability and eligibility to drive in NSW the relevant vehicles for Hunter Equipment Service (both manual and automatic vehicles)
    • Demonstrated ability to show flexibility, initiative and time management in performing and prioritising work duties
    • Demonstrated ability to work in and communicate within a team consisting of a range of staff with various skills and abilities
    • Demonstrated excellent communication skills with clients with varying abilities and /or their carers
    • Demonstrated respect for the workplace and the property of the organization e.g. equipment and vehicles
    • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety policy and procedures and an excellent record in this area
    • Knowledge of and experience in the use and installation of self-care and mobility equipment
    • Experience in the use of relevant technology within the workplace e.g. computers, mobile phones, equipment scanners

    Job description

    This position of Registered Nurse will work within a multi-disciplinary team environment aiming to improve the patient journey through timely and appropriate assessment and planning. The Registered Nurse plays an active role as a team member and provides quality patient orientated and cost effective care, taking into account the individual needs of each patient. The Registered Nurse will be a clinical role model for other Registered Nurses, Endorsed Enrolled Nurses, Trainee Enrolled Nurses ,Undergraduate Nursing Students and Assistants in Nursing.

    • Current Authority to practice in Division 1 of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia within the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
    • Recent acute clinical nursing experience
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, other care providers, hospital clinicians, immediate team members and other stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on service delivery, quality of care and team cohesion.
    • Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focused care, clinical governance and quality improvement
    • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Applications and eMR.
    • Demonstrated commitment to own professional development and time management skills

    • Assisting patients with activities of daily living

    • Assisting with assessment including observation and monitoring of health status

    • Demonstrated education for medication administration such as Certificate IV in Nursing (Enrolled Nurse)

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload
    • Commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice
