    Bookkeeper

    Job Description

    • A reputable insurance company is looking to appoint a Senior Bookkeeper to support its finance team based in Bellville. This role is ideal for a detail-driven individual with solid bookkeeping experience in the insurance or financial services sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing financial records, managing reconciliations, supporting reporting requirements, and ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

    Responsibilities

    • Process supplier and customer invoices, credit notes, statements, and payments
    • Perform bank, supplier, and account reconciliations
    • Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including tagging and verification
    • Post routine journal entries and ensure alignment with supporting documentation
    • File and archive all financial records according to company policy
    • Assist with VAT, PAYE, and income tax return submissions for relevant entities
    • Prepare daily bank and cash reports and coordinate payment schedules
    • Support the preparation of cash flow forecasts and management reports
    • Assist with intercompany schedules and confirmations
    • Participate in audit preparation by providing required schedules and documentation
    • Attend meetings and apply relevant accounting policies and practices
    • Support ad hoc finance projects and collaborate with the team as needed

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 with Accounting
    • Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping or Accounting (or equivalent)
    • 5 to 7 years of relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience
    • Minimum 2 years in a senior bookkeeping role (Bookkeeper II or similar)
    • Must work currently in an insurance company or large wealth management environment
    • Solid knowledge of accounting principles
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Proficient in Sage X3, Excel, Outlook, and Word
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Analytical thinker with problem-solving ability
    • Effective communicator
    • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Reliable, methodical, and quality-driven
    • Strong team player and quick learner
    • Willing to work overtime when needed

    Bottling Manager

    Job Description

    • A leading company in the beverages industry, based in Paarl, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bottling Manager to oversee all aspects of our clients bottling operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in beverage production, quality control, and team management. The Bottling Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all products are bottled efficiently and safely, meeting all quality standards and production targets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement strategic processes, policies and procedures for packaging department
    • Set-up & Maintain Packaging comprehensive cost center, Capex & Extra-ordinary budget
    • Approval / Reject SAP requisitions
    • Overall management of variances in relevant business structures (production orders)
    • Ensure weekly production reports are completed and reported to GM
    • Maintain and update packaging BSC and provide information to Executive: Operations.
    • Manage the comprehensive bottling and packaging processes
    • Continually liaise with Team leaders and QC Manager
    • Identify deviations and or problems and make adjustments when necessary
    • Continuous improvement in change overtime and line speed
    • Continuous improvement in production efficiencies
    • Effective scheduling of production line

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification
    • At least 7-10 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Excellent understanding of Lean manufacturing
    • At least 5 years’ experience of people management and performance management systems.

    • Hire Resolve's Client, a reputable mining company in Gauteng, is currently looking for a skilled and experienced Engineering Foreman (Boilermaker) to join their mining team. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Gather and verify information before capturing data, and maintain proper filing of documents according to set procedures.
    • Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental requirements, promptly identify and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions, and take part in safety discussions and meetings.
    • Follow quality procedures and complete tasks to meet or exceed operational quality requirements.
    • Support overall team goals through active contribution and cooperation.
