    Sales Intern

    A Day in the Life

    • As an Intern, you will work with close supervision and deliver work of limited scope, typically smaller, less complex projects, or related activities. You will be able to identify, define and addresses problems that are not immediately evident, make minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems. You will communicate primarily with internal contacts within immediate group. We support your growth with training, mentorship and guidance you need to own your future success.

    Internship details:

    • Start date: 4 November 2024
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Location: Bloemfontein, Cape Town: applications accepted
    • Durban, Pretoria: applications no longer accepted
    • Working hours: 40 h/week
    • Working model: hybrid; in-field travel to support clinical stakeholders

     

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Providing administrative support to the sales function such as coordinating sales meetings; appointments etc. – within allocated accounts.
    • Helping conduct statistical analysis on sales data and information to ensure optimal sales execution and attainment of growth objectives in those specified accounts.
    • Maintaining on-line sales and marketing system, verifying the accuracy of the data and acting as liaison with information technology in identifying and resolving problems – within the given accounts.
    • Administering the field sales forecasting system, which provides management with current product sales potential – within the specified accounts.
    • Assisting with facilitating activities within specified accounts in order receive the necessary training on the OU
    • Being the liaison between Government and Commercial with regards to open pending orders – specific to Government accounts, if you form part of the Government team.
    • Promoting Medtronic products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts; supporting the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets.

    Required Knowledge:

    • Recently graduated or about to graduate with a degree in medical field
    • Driver’s license

    Navigation/Spine Technology Intern

    A Day in the Life

    • As an Intern, you will provide support in Navigation/Spine cases and facilitate technology adoption and release full, differentiating potential of Medtronic products during the procedure.  You will create a strong adoption/demand from clinical stakeholders and build robust relationships with clinicians based on unparalleled therapy insights. You will develop towards delivering a comprehensive training and education value offering. This role actively generates sales through clinical support.

    Internship details:

    • Start date: 4 November 2024
    • Duration: 12 months
    • Location: Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth: applications accepted 
    • Johannesburg: applications no longer accepted
    • Working hours: 40 h/week
    • Working model: hybrid; in-field travel to support clinical stakeholders


    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Provide clinical and technical support
    • Provide case support, product demonstrations, installation, and maintenance of company products
    • Provide follow-up support to the regional sales teams and external stakeholders by providing technical support and information on specific applications
    • Provide the clinical stakeholder with technical data necessary for the demonstration of products
    • Deliver on-site education and consulting and supports establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations
    • Coordinate with clinical stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of MDT technology

    Required Knowledge:

    • Degree in medical field
    • Driver’s license
