Advanced Specialist: Clinical Risk at AfroCentric Group

Key Role:

To demonstrate the managed care value provided by Medscheme and to ensure that the Medscheme and client managed care strategies are aligned by: - being an expert in the health risks within the scheme and mitigating these risks through product development and monitoring ongoing trends - developing a trust relationship with client schemes through regular engagement and clear communication on managed care initiatives / trends - providing client schemes with meaningful managed care strategic advice; and - ensuring that client needs are filtered into the business so that appropriate health risk management products / solutions are developed.

Core Tasks:

• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all functions including but not limited to King 111 and International Financial Reporting Standards practices.
• Identify problems and develop and propose solutions to present to appropriate leader or stakeholders
• Continuously increase understanding of client and stakeholder needs, satisfaction and service delivery
• Manage the relationship between Medscheme and Client schemes to promote and streamline the financial and operational interests of client schemes and align this with Medscheme strategy.
• In collaboration with senior management and appropriate stakeholders, formulates and recommends to board of Trustees a business plan.

Previous experience interacting at Board level would be an advantage.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3 – 4 year clinical degree
• 5+ Years relevant managed healthcare experience. Previous experience interacting at Board level would be an advantage
