    Sales And Marketing Intern

    Job description

    Are you a newly qualified marketer or, busy with your marketing studies, looking to be part of innovation at a groundbreaking level? Well, look no further.

    Candystick is fast becoming a leader in the online crowdfunding sector in South Africa. We're a donation-based, people first crowdfunding company that innovates to make people's lives better.

    Our start-up uses Online and Offline marketing methods (social media and traditional marketing) to engage with the general public and organizations looking for funding. We also provide a platform to bring awareness to those looking for supporters.

    The candidate for this internship will be working side-by-side with the team to plan and execute marketing strategies. He/she will have qualifications in communications, public relations, marketing or any other related program. Interns must have strong written and oral skills, strong organizational and project delivery skills, and the ability to serve as a team player. Interns will be involved in the following areas: Public Relations, Social Media, generating leads and PPC.

    We foster a fun and creative environment, but we are fast-paced and need an applicant that can deliver under demanding deadlines. We are looking for candidates that fit within the following responsibilities and requirements.

    Responsibilities

    Tasks, under the supervision of our Operations Manager, will include but not limited to:

    • Creating & launching online marketing campaigns to inform the public about the company and crowdfunding
    • Manage social media engagements & participate in live presentations / interviews on behalf of company
    • Generate leads and engage with small businesses and non profits to promote our platform to them
    • Use data analytics & site traffic data to plan marketing strategies
    • Perform tasks relating to business development and growth with the team

    Requirements

    Our ideal candidate should:

    • Currently be enrolled or recently graduated from College/University in Marketing, Communication or Business
    • Have great communication & writing skills and work extremely well in a team setting
    • Be creative and not be afraid to experiment with ideas
    • Have knowledge of data analytics, metrics, & SEO strategy to implement into a marketing plan
    • Bilingual or knowledge of programming a plus
