    Training / Telephone support

    Job description

    THIS POSITION IS BASED IN DURBAN

    Summary

    To acquire an in-depth knowledge of company product in order to effectively conduct training at all levels

    Training

    Responsibilities

    • Must be able to conduct Training at all levels, which may involve demonstrating equipment
    • Properly prepare for each training session to ensure quality training is offered
    • Ensure training material is prepared and available for all training sessions
    • Ensure training equipment and computers are set up before all training sessions
    • Ensure Training facility Hardware is up- to- date and effective for practical training
    • Maintain Training Register and ensure training register is completed with full details of training conducted for issuing of certificates and invoicing
    • Support learners during training interventions and invite questions
    • All training conducted to be assessed within 10 working days from date of training and be made available to the Training Manager
    • Refer product issues/bugs found to the Training Manager
    • Understanding of the hardware, software and applications and obtain knowledge of on-going functionality changes to the system
    • Will be expected to travel as training is done at remote & international sites for periods of 1 - 2 weeks at a time.
    • Must have own car for travel to some remote areas, petrol will be refunded per km travelled for work purposes.
    • Must have a valid passport for travel purposes.
    • Physical Demands
    • Candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time in front of classes while conducting training

    • Product Learning Duties
    • Will be required to attend training, read PSC's and installation manuals, setup systems in order to understand the Impro product range to be fully equipped to train at all levels.
    • Keep up to date with technology understanding on which our systems are based.
    • Training Material
    • Assist when required with updating Training Manuals, Presentations, USB Flash drive and online content for customers when time available and allocated
    • Assist when required to compile training material, especially on customised operator training. ( Training material in the form of Manuals, presentations and electronic tutorials)
    • Client Services - Consulting
    • Assist with consulting on SLA sites, when time available and allocated
    • Assist with telephonic user support if requested

    Hours:

    • Monday - Friday 08:00 to 17:00 and may be required to work late if training delegates still busy with assessments

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • Include the following, other duties may be assigned:
    • Organizing.
    • Be a full competent self-starter, able to work effectively and completely without supervision
    • Ensure that dealer employees are trained on Impro products.
    • Supply Impro product manuals and ensuring that these are updated on a regular basis.
    • Maintain records of all contacts and reporting on a daily basis on any interaction with these contacts.
    • Maintain fully accurate and dependable CRM/ Salesforce records.
    • Administration
    • Maintain efficient paperwork.
    • Keep and update all records daily.

    Qualifications

    Education And/or Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience required.
    • Thorough understanding of the electronic security and access control industry.
    • At least 5 years' experience in a high tech industry, in a senior sales, marketing or technical support role.
    • Strong abilities in problem solving, analysis and decision making.
    • Exemplary client service skills with the ability to maintain and extend client relationships.
    • Must have exceptional English communication skills, both written and oral. Fluency in any of the additional South African languages would be advantageous.
    • Well-developed inter-personal skills and experience in interacting with various stakeholders at different levels of an organisation.
    • Computer Skills
    • Must be proficient in MS Office applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc.
    • Should be familiar with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
    • Experience in project management tools, such as MS Project would be advantageous.
    • Experience in CRM would be advantageous.

    Work Requirements

    Regular travel will be required throughout Africa, South Africa with a small degree of international travel. The employee should have a valid passport and driver's license.
