    Client Manager Aon Global Client Network (AGCN)

    Aon South Africa is recruiting a Client Manager in our Global Client Nework division at our offices in Sandton. The role of a Client Manager is to build and improve day to day client relationships, manage portfolios of client accounts and possess technical expertise to less experienced employees.

    As a Client Manager some of your responsibilities will include:

    • Being responsible for providing expert input in respect of the service given by Aon to the Multinational Clients belonging to the AGCN Network
    • Being responsible for working in conjunction with local account teams to optimize client’s multinational risk programs by providing strategic direction, program design and marketing support for multinational accounts
    • Being responsible for ensuring that AGCN South Africa achieves high scores on Network Scorecard and within Client Promise as regards service delivery
    • Being responsible for remaining totally au fait with and applying the AGCN operational protocols/processes/tools
    • Being responsible for articulating the AGCN Value Proposition as well as multinational risk and insurance options in order to lead and participate in multinational account sales and operational strategy implementation for territory
    • Being responsible for AGCN organic growth including cross selling both P&C and H&B products on global inward referrals
    • Being responsible for leading, developing and improving the day to day client relationship
    • Being responsible for the AGCN portfolio of clients and managing and coordinating all related activities
    • Being responsible for building a “client profile” of risks and needs analysis in respect of the portfolio of clients

    Being responsible for input into the renewal process which includes:

    1. preparing pre-renewal documents
    2. meeting with clients
    3. sending renewal notifications
    4. sending cancellation letters were applicable
    • Being responsible for structuring insurance programmes to meet the needs of portfolio clients.
    • Being responsible for producing client documentation (including policy documents and claims statistics), leading or contributing to renewal meetings and leading or contributing to fee negotiations
    • Being responsible for maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability
    • Engaging and troubleshooting Multinational service delivery issues that could impact existing and future client opportunities
    • Partnering with local and network account teams on jeopardy and prospective client opportunities
    • Working toward achieving growth (5%) and retention (95%) targets for Aon South Africa.

    Providing quarterly revenue reports to AGCN Regional Practice Leader including:

    1. details of revenue directed to the office on inward business,
    2. additional penetration generated in country and
    3. multi-country revenue opportunities secured via the AGCN
    • Ensuring correct and consistent use of reporting tools and technology to capture multinational opportunities. (i.e. SFDC)
    • Being responsible for ensuring that dealings with clients meet internal and external compliance requirements
    • Contributing to the development of new business with either existing or new clients
    • Providing support to Senior Client Manager/ Business Manager on larger, more complex accounts
    • Being responsible for credit control in respect of both the local premium and the global fees.
    • Ensuring in all cases that premiums/fees are collected within the stipulated credit period.
    • Maintain GAMS compliance rate greater than 90%

    Role-specific Technical Skills, Knowledge and Experience

    Qualifications.

    • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
    • A Bachelor’s degree is preferable
    • Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act
    • Must be registered as an associate with the IISA

    Knowledge

    • Excellent knowledge of policy wordings
    • A comprehensive knowledge of the South African and international short-term insurance markets
    • An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals.
    • Thorough knowledge of Multinational and local markets, including insurers, tax, regulatory, unique coverages / issues - Proven record of adherence to and delivery of AGCN guidelines for global sales, service and coordination
    • Computer literacy with advanced know-how in MS Word and Excel.

    Skills and Attributes.

    • Skill and confidence to articulate Aon’s proposition and how it differentiates Aon and benefit clients
    • Advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities
    • Well-developed communication skills
    • Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken
    • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Ability to work effectively in and with teams.

    Experience.

    • Have a minimum of 5 - 10 years’ experience in a similar or related role.
