Scope of Work:

Ghostwriting articles for our clients’ blogs in the B2B & B2C space. Most articles will be above 2000 words.

Secondary Scope:

You will also need to do SEO research and other content marketing activities. But no prior SEO experience is required (we will train you.)

If you perform well, you will have the option to be trained for a supervisory/editorial role within 3-6 months.

Positions Open For:

• Full time and part time roles.
• We are looking for full time applicants, but we will consider part time applicants with fantastic potential.
• Part-time roles are only open to students and freelancers. You can't be in a full time job and simultaneously work part time for us.
• Part time candidates should be able to dedicate a minimum 40 hours a month.

Requirements

Required Experience:

• 1 - 5 years in a content writing role (approximately)
• You should have written at least 10 blog posts in your entire career. Writing for your personal blog will also count.
• Writing for social media, website and landing page copy, etc. does NOT count.
• No experience in SEO is required.

Essential Skills:

1. Native-level proficiency in written English
2. Strong research skills
3. Ability to learn new topics quickly
4. Basic expertise in Google Docs

Additional Skills (optional)
Brownie points if you have experience in SEO and other areas of marketing.

Soft Skills

The standards here are the highest in the world. Therefore, even highly experienced writers find it rather challenging. That's why you should have the following soft skills:

1. A very strong desire to learn about SEO and content marketing
2. A strong interest in building a career in content marketing
3. A strong desire to win
4. Ability to work independently and responsibly from a remote location

Some candidates might need to submit an 800-word article writing assignment for free. We will give you the topic. We might give you this assignment if your writing experience does not match the topics that we cover for our clients.
You will have complete IP rights to your article whether we finally hire you or not. We give the same topic to nearly every candidate and will not use the article for any reason other than your evaluation.

Paid articles

Before we make a final offer, most candidates go through a paid trial phase where we give you around a couple of articles to write. We evaluate your ability to pick up our training, incorporate our feedback and work efficiently in a remote environment. We will figure out deadlines according to your schedule, so don't worry.

This is also a risk-free way for you to gauge if you will enjoy working at Startup Voyager.

Candidates who meet any of the following conditions will not be considered.

1. Those who have Not written at least 10 blog posts in their entire career (personally or in a professional capacity.)
2. Those who are not serious about building a career in marketing.
3. Those who have trouble accepting any negative feedback about their work. (Even Forbes (US) columnists would get tons of negative feedback here.)

Salary Range:

US$4800 - US$12,000 a year

1. US$4800
   0 years of full-time work experience in a writing role.
2. US$4800 - US$7000
   6 months to 1 year of full-time work experience in a writing role.
3. Above US$8000
   2+ years of full-time content writing experience and native-level proficiency in written English. Alternatively, you should have experience in writing for the automobile/auto repair sector, or finance/fintech.

• The salary would include a variable component of around 15-25%.
